Mass General Brigham Innovation Grand Rounds – Wednesday April 27, 2022 – Turning Invention into Value: Key Aspects of Licensing and Intellectual Property at Mass General Brigham

Extracting value from inventions requires many transactions, a key one of which is licensing of intellectual property to outside entities. This may include established companies (private or public) or MGB spinouts, including ones our innovators start themselves! These agreements also play an integral part in royalties received by inventors and the institution. Understanding the key components of licensing will help you to position your ideas and inventions for efficient translation and value return.
